Mobility Scooter Hire Prices in Benidorm (2026)

How much does it cost to hire a mobility scooter in Benidorm? Both machines, by the week and by the month, from € 80 a week.

We hire by the week and by the month. There is no day rate: a single day costs us the same delivery and collection as a week does, so the shortest hire we price is a week.

Hire in this town is usually priced at the counter, which is why so many people search for the cost before they travel. Ours is below, in full, with the deposit and the insurance under it.

What affects the price

Two things move the price: which machine you take, and how long you keep it.

The machine. The Tunder is € 10 a week more than the Donata and carries the bigger battery: 80 to 100 km against 60 to 80 km. If you are riding the seafront and back once a day, the Donata has the range for it.

The length. Four weeks at the week rate comes to € 320 on the Donata. The month rate is € 225. From about three weeks onward the month rate is the cheaper of the two, so if your stay is near that mark, ask for both figures and compare.

What you get for that

Two three-wheel electric scooters, both delivered limited to 25 km/h with three selectable speed settings. Every hire is one of these two.

What these are, and what they are not

These are three-wheel electric scooters. You sit astride a saddle, steer with handlebars, and each machine has mirrors, indicators and brake lights. They are not self-propelled wheelchairs, which article 133 of Benidorm's ordinance defines as CE-marked class I medical devices for people who have lost the ability to walk, and they are not the four-wheel pavement machines some firms call a mobility scooter.

That distinction decides which rules apply to you and whether a plate, insurance or a licence is needed. It is not settled, and we will not guess at it. Our rules guide sets out what the ordinance says about self-propelled wheelchairs; it does not claim those articles cover these two machines.

Which category these two machines fall in under Benidorm's rules, and with it whether a plate, insurance, a helmet or a licence is needed and where they may be ridden, follows here shortly.

Deposit and insurance

You will be told the deposit before you book, not at the door. We do not require cash and we do not photograph your card.

Insurance. Third party liability cover is included in the rate and held by us, not by you. It is named in your rental contract.

One thing that is settled: under article 135.d of Benidorm's ordinance the hire firm carries third party liability cover of at least 60,000 euro per scooter. That is our obligation, not something you have to arrange or pay for separately. It is worth saying because the figure circulates online as though it were a requirement on the visitor.

Exactly what that cover includes, the excess, and what falls outside it, follows here shortly.

Long stays and winter rates

People who stay for the winter are hiring for months, not days. The month rate is the one to ask for rather than counting weeks: € 225 for the Donata and € 265 for the Tunder. October to March is the long stay season here.

A long hire includes a service partway through and a replacement machine if yours needs work. Months of daily use is not the same demand as a fortnight, and the arrangement reflects that.

The minimum period that qualifies for the month rate, and how far into a hire the service visit falls, follows here shortly.

Overwinteren in Benidorm covers the same ground in Dutch, for the readers who stay longest.

Questions about the price

How much does it cost to hire a mobility scooter in Benidorm?
€ 80 a week for the Donata and € 90 a week for the Tunder. By the month it is € 225 and € 265. Delivery in Benidorm, collection, a charger and third party liability insurance are in those figures.
Can I hire one for just a day or two?
We price by the week, so a short stay is charged as one week. Delivering and collecting a machine takes the same run whether you keep it for one day or seven, which is why a separate day rate would not actually be cheaper for you.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, and you will know the amount before you book rather than when we arrive. To follow
Do I pay in cash?
No. A cash only door payment is one of the things this firm exists not to do. We do not photocopy cards and we do not ask for a card number over the telephone. To follow
Is delivery included?
Yes, within Benidorm, along with collection at the end and a charger. There is no separate delivery line on your confirmation.
What about wheelchairs, rollators and folding scooters?
We are asked for all three. What we carry and what they cost is being confirmed. To follow
