The Levante Promenade by Mobility Scooter
The Levante seafront is the obvious first ride in Benidorm: about 1.9 km of mapped promenade, running east from below the old town.
It is wide, it is paved, it is lit, and it has the whole row of seafront cafes along it. If you are working out on the first morning what the machine can do, do it here.
What the map shows
The promenade runs from the old town headland at the western end to Rincon de Loix at the eastern one, about 1.9 km of mapped way in total.
The map records the surface as paving stones. That is a label about the material, not a judgement about how it rides.
One thing the map does show clearly: the eastern end at Rincon de Loix sits higher than the seafront. Coming back from that end is a climb, which is why it is worth doing that leg first, while the battery is full.
Distances are computed from the OpenStreetMap geometry of 7 September 2026. It is the summed length of the ways mapped as that promenade, not the length of one continuous ride.
What we have not ridden yet
These are the things that decide whether an afternoon works, and not one of them is in the map data.
Three things belong on this page and are not on it yet: where the surface changes and where the ramps down to the beach are; which benches have room beside them for a machine and which cafes have a table you can reach; and how busy each stretch gets by time of day and by month.
This information follows shortly.
The rules on this stretch
Article 134.2 puts you on the pedestrian area at walking pace, and the Levante promenade is a pedestrian area for its whole length. In August, walking pace is not a restriction, it is the only speed available.
Article 134.3 asks for lights at dusk and in poor weather. On a seafront in winter, dusk comes early.
